Coronavirus -

Dear Parents/ Carers,

I am very sorry to have to inform you that unfortunately Kings Oak is unable to open to children in

Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 on Monday 1st June. This is because at lunchtime today

(Friday 29/05) we received a letter from the Borough setting out additional guidelines which we have

to adhere to.

These include additional items to the risk assessment which now needs to be approved.  Many of these

are additional measures to the DFE guidelines which we have been working to. Over the last two weeks

we have worked really hard to carefully organise the staff and children according to these DFE

guidelines and it is far too short notice for us to adjust these and rearrange everything before

Monday's opening.

I know many of you will be bitterly disappointed and I am very sorry that you will now have to rearrange

things at your end too.  I am also desperately sorry for the children who were excited to be returning

and to see their friends again.

Please be assured that we will be working really hard next week to put some new arrangements in

place and to welcome you back as soon as we possibly can.
